In depth
A pedigree is a documented line of descent — a formal genealogical record showing the unbroken chain of ancestors from the applicant back to the anchor ancestor. It is the genealogical equivalent of the legal 'citizenship chain.'
For CBD cases, the pedigree is documented through: (1) birth certificates (showing parent-child relationships), (2) marriage certificates (showing legitimate descent), (3) parish records (for pre-civil-registration events), and (4) other genealogical evidence (census records, military records, naturalization records).
Our network of genealogists produce formal pedigree charts with source citations for every CBD case, suitable for submission to consulates, courts, and ministries.
